Week 10

Thoughts : Holy SH**, in 2 weeks uni is going to end, its going to be the end of semester 1 for my (almost) final year. And then I'm going to graduate. Then I need to be an adult and get a job. O. My. Lord.
This week I tried something different.
As a person, I'm relatively negative, worrying about the worst that could happen, and thoughts that would make a clean pile of freshly washed laundry trampled in dirt and filth. I saw something on YouTube, more like something I've been thinking about for a while now, the law of attraction.
The concept if it is that, if you put out good energy, it will reflect back into your life. You can also use it to manifest things or events to happen in your life. Two weeks ago, I decided to try it. What could I possibly lose?
In the morning, when I wake up, remind myself what I'm grateful for and what to look forward in the day. Then I would pad my way to the bathroom, telling myself I'm a beautiful person while brushing my teeth. Followed by my usual routine. I would find random things to be grateful for, the gym, a pen, clothes I was wearing, food I was eating. Things like that. Then I realised, I felt more elated. I have never felt like this before. If I can humanly describe it, I would say it's like knowing why and how everything falls in place.
I struggle from mild anxiety and would say my moods can swing from one spectrum to the other within minutes. People would be intimidated by the expression on my face, better known as the "resting bitch face". It was hard making friends because I would be bored with them by the next day.
I genuinely think the act of being grateful and present has changed the things around me. For starters I got an opportunity I really wanted which is  going to help me progress in my career. If you would like more examples I could list them but we would be staring at the screen for hours.
Concept of the week: Tax Deductions.
This is one topic my lecturer talks about with passion. Deductions from tax means the person would be paying less tax due to tax bracket, mortgage interet, interest on student loans etc.
From a corporation stand point, interest from business loans and working capital can reduce the amount of tax paid. If we want to go further, share buybacks for example is attractive for investors because the tax they would have to pay is already paid for by the company in the form of a fully franked dividend.
